Edward Hughes - tenor

London-born tenor Edward Hughes is in demand for both concert and operatic work. 

He studied at the Benjamin Britten International Opera School with Tim Evans-Jones and on ENO's Opera Works programme. He has sung roles at Opera Holland Park and Longborough, sung in the chorus at Glyndebourne and has worked as an understudy at the ROH. 

Other notable solo performances include Mozart's Requiem with the LPO and Royal Choral Society, Das Lied von der Erde at the Berlin Philharmonie and Verdi's Requiem at its premiere in Vietnam at the Vietnamese National Opera. He was a finalist in the Wagner Singing Competition 2014 and the Wagner Society of Great Britain have funded his recent studies.

Edward sings in the Royal Hospital Chapel Choir and is a member of Opera Holland Park's INSPIRE team, leading a variety of workshops and was also part of ENO's Opera Squad outreach programme.
